Brouwerij Troost Oud West

Pub with outdoor seating offering a selection of organic beers, sodas, gin and jenever (a sort of dutch gin). Menu has solid vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Brouwerij Troost was started in 2013 by brothers Frits and Hendrik de Jong and their partner Jorrit Lootsma. The brewery, in De Pijp, was started out of an old monastery and soon after the pub opened. In 2015 the Westergas location opened with increased brewing capacity and by 2018 the Old-west location was up and running.

Casual, funky, family friendly pizza and pasta joint serving stone oven baked thin crust pizzas. Vegetarian and vegan selections available.

Big downstairs play area for kids with some toys, arcade games, table football…

They have a second location right next to Erasmuspark with excellent outdoor seating

Selection Sauvage

Selection Sauvage is a wine shop that curates a selection of all natural wines from across Europe. Offers wine tasting’s for groups of six people and up

Natural wines are a loosely defined category commonly referring to wines that use pesticide free grapes and locally and naturally occurring yeasts. They are also additive free (so no artificial oak flavouring, acids, sweeteners …) and use sulphites (a preservative and stabiliser) sparingly, if at all.

The space is also host to a rotating selection of art.

Baires Empanadas

An Argentinian empanadas bakery with a selection of meat, vegetarian, and vegan “pies”. Some outdoor seating is available.

Coming from the Spanish verb empanar, which means to coat or wrap in bread. Empanadas are a stuffed pastry (sweet or savoury) found across Latin America. It’s origins can be traced back to medieval Galicia (Northern Spain). It then crossed the Atlantic with the Spanish colonists in the 16th Century where it remains, to this day, a very popular dish.

Daalder Restaurant

Lead by award winning chef Dennis Huwaë, Restaurant Daalder offers heavenly food in a casual and modern environment. The concept is for guests to choose the number of courses and the chef determines the dishes.

In 2021 Daalder moved from it’s long time home on Lindengraacht in De Jordaan to Het Sieraad building in De Baarsjes, the same year they earned their first Michelin star.
